nxtbit is a Jamf Professional Partner

Good news for our clients: nxtbit has achieved Jamf Professional Partner status. That is the second-highest partner level in the Jamf ecosystem, and it confirms the expertise we put into practice every day. But what does it actually mean? We asked Gunther Schepers and Raf Vandelaer, the two co-founders behind nxtbit.

Why Jamf?

"We want to be able to help our clients in a way that genuinely fits them," says Gunther. "That sounds like a cliché, but it's at the heart of everything we do at nxtbit. Companies that want to manage their Apple devices themselves, or that have their own IT person in-house, need a powerful platform built specifically for the Apple ecosystem. That's Jamf. It gives them the control, the depth and the tools to manage Macs, iPhones and iPads professionally, without compromise."

Jamf isn't a generic MDM tool that 'can handle Macs as well'. The integration with Apple Business Manager, the policies, the automated deployment: you won't find that level anywhere else. And precisely because we're now a Professional Partner, we also have more direct access to Jamf expertise, early information about new features and better support for our clients.

Jamf and Intune. Two tools, one strategy

"Not every company has a dedicated Apple environment or an in-house IT administrator to run Jamf," says Raf. "For companies with a mixed fleet of devices, or where nxtbit takes care of all the device management, Microsoft Intune is the strongest choice. Intune lets you manage Windows, macOS, iOS and Android from a single platform, fully integrated with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Conditional Access and the Defender suite."

It isn't about choosing between Apple and non-Apple, but about how the management is organised. If a company has its own IT staff who want to actively manage their Apple fleet, Jamf is often the most suitable choice. If it's an SME that wants to outsource management entirely to nxtbit and also works in a hybrid environment, we generally opt for Intune as the central point of management. We don't decide that in advance: together with the client, we look at which approach best fits their organisation, IT environment and expectations.

More than just device management

"Something we sometimes have to explain," says Gunther with a smile, "is that device management is only one part of what we do. We see it as the backbone of a healthy IT environment, but we build a complete picture around it."

"We work as an in-house IT department, just remotely. Clients have one point of contact who knows their environment inside out, not a ticketing system where they have to explain their problem all over again every time." says Raf.

Jamf and nxtbit

Think of advice and strategy, hardware and software delivered ready for business via Apple Business Manager, networks built on Ubiquiti, cybersecurity as an ongoing process, VoIP and telephony, meeting rooms, Microsoft 365 management and guidance on AI projects. And all of it from a single point of contact, with no surprises on the invoice.

What does this mean for you as a client?

"For existing clients, little changes in day-to-day operations," says Gunther. "But it does give them confidence: they're working with a partner that is recognised by Jamf itself, and that doesn't just sell the tools but has genuinely mastered them."

"At nxtbit, you're not the guinea pig for someone who has only just discovered Jamf. The certification takes real effort and proven experience. We're proud of this recognition, but even prouder of what we do with it for our clients every day."
