What device management covers
- Zero-touch deployment
- New devices go into Apple Business Manager or Windows Autopilot. They set themselves up at your employee's first sign-in, with the right apps, settings and security.
- Updates managed centrally
- We roll out operating system and app updates in stages, so every device stays up to date without an update bringing your working day to a halt.
- Secure from day one
- Encryption, an update policy and remote wipe are on from the first sign-in. If a device goes missing, we lock or wipe it remotely.
- Sign in with your work account
- With single sign-on, you sign in to your Mac and your apps with your Microsoft 365 account. One password, with multi-factor authentication.
- The device stays with the business
- Through Apple Business Manager, every device stays with your business, even when someone leaves. It's ready for the next colleague straight away.
- Personal devices too
- If someone works on their own smartphone or tablet, we only protect the business apps and data. If it's lost or they leave, we wipe only that business data.

Map
We map every device, user and app, and look at how they are managed today.

Set up
We set up Apple Business Manager and Intune or Jamf, with your policies for security, updates and apps.

Enrol
New devices enrol themselves. We enrol existing devices, and if they come from another system, we move them across without wiping wherever possible.

Look after
From then on, we look after updates, security and new devices, and the customer portal shows you which devices you have.
Questions about device management
Do you work with Jamf or Intune?
Both. nxtbit is a Jamf Professional Partner, and Intune comes with Microsoft 365 Business Premium. Which suits you best depends on your devices and your software; we'll look at that together.
Can you move our devices from another system?
Yes. We have moved Mac computers from Jamf to Intune without wiping a single device. You can read how in our article on the migration.
Can you see what is on a personal device?
No. On a personal device we only manage the business apps and data. Your photos, messages and own apps stay out of it.
What if a device is lost or stolen?
We lock or wipe a business device remotely. On a personal device, we wipe only the business data.
